Chris Armstrong

A Flash Developer who believes:

With over 15 years in the creative industry, Christopher has seen and done just about everything. He's worked across a range of diverse roles ranging from programming and development to design, information architecture and analytics, and tackled an equally diverse range of projects from educational titles and games to touch screen applications, extranet development and customised software projects.

All that experience makes Christopher our in-house jack of all trades and master of all things digital. He loves nothing more than a great challenge which lets him bring both his creative vision and rational perspective to the solution, applying his thinking with consistency and the bigger picture in mind, even when switching between project roles.

Ema Webb

The Bookeeper who tells us that:
“Running a tight ship is what I do”

Ema studied economics at the University of Padova in Northern Italy where she also worked in a wide range of service and administration roles.

Now married to The Squad's very own Matt Webb, in addition to her full-time role looking after their sons Toby & Jamie, she also helps the agency stay on top of the books.

Shatha Alasad

A Junior designer who thinks that:
“Creativity is allowing yourself to make mistakes. Design is knowing which ones to keep.”

Shatha moved to Sydney in 2007 to follow her dream of becoming a designer and spending the rest of her life doing what she loves to do. She is currently studying Visual Communication at UTS, and is the Squad's youngest team member. When she is not pumping out last minute uni assignments or wreaking havoc at The Squad's offices, you can find her aimlessly wandering the streets looking for something to cure her boredom.

Shatha has a strong sense of wonder and is always on the hunt for new and exciting things to do. Since starting her job at The Squad, she has learned a lot about herself, what she wants in life, and what she is capable of achieving.

Michael Smith

Digital Designer likes to think that:
“Great design, is when form and function come together”

Mike has worked in a digital agency environment for over four years and has crammed a wealth of experience into that time. He has worked with small, medium and large brands to create not only websites and digital marketing campaigns, but also iPhone apps and touch screen applications.

He loves new technologies for the opportunities they present, and believes that great design is the result of matching form with function to create a flawless user experience.

Matt Webb

Founding Partner / Digital Media Director who still believes:
“Simplicity is a good thing!”

Matt started his career 12 years ago as a traditional graphic designer. His love of the digital space lead him into an interactive design career as the internet gained momentum. Matt has been a part of high-tech internet start-ups, global game publishing companies, award-winning digital advertising agencies and high-end web development houses in Sydney, London and Northern Italy, which combined have given him a respectable arsenal of skills.

Matt has a passion for usability and believes that a site is a failure if users don't get everything they need from their visit, be that simple information or an immersive experience.

In his downtime Matt loves riding bikes of all kinds, having a beer with mates and hanging out with his wife, Ema and little boys, Toby & Jamie.

Ben Hopkins

Founding Partner / Traditional Media Director who would:
“make the most of what life has to throw at him”

Ben has been in the creative industry for almost ten years. His experience ranges from multi-national advertising agencies to small Sydney-based boutiques to award-winning design houses.

Ben has a passion for creativity and a love of coherent brand communication which he combines with a strong understanding of the print production process. He applies these strengths to all our work in the traditional media space – corporate identities, packaging, point-of-sale, direct mail and more.

Dan Harvey

Digital Designer who has:
“Passion for good design
put together right”

A great creative eye and a solid technical background make Dan a true digital all rounder. Dan takes on projects from beginning to end - designing, illustrating and developing his concepts then seeing them through.

Dan is also passionate about music and believes creating great design is like writing a classic song; both are carefully crafted, deeply involving and memorable long after being experienced.

A good week for Dan means working on some inspiring projects, delivering results that make our clients smile, then finding a beer and a schnitzel waiting for him at the pub on Friday.

Dan Sauvigné

The Account Manager who enjoys:
“good people, interesting things, and experiencing everything life has to offer.”

Dan graduated from Syracuse University in New York, USA. After 6 years working in media planning/buying, branding and account management in NYC, Dan has come to Sydney to expand his horizons into the digital side of media while still honing his past experiences. With strong business sense as well as an eye for the creative, Dan takes a lead role in making sure the client is well served and the end product is delivered on time and within budget.

Dan believes it is not just about getting the job done, it is more about developing a relationship with the client so that they know he is has their best interests at heart. By keeping things simple and being straightforward, Dan hopes to gain a reputation for being able to get past the fuss and addressing the core elements of the campaign.

Easy going and known for a good laugh, Dan is a big sports fan who enjoys good burgers and cold beer.

Russell Nelson

The Graphic Designer that believes:
“Design is communication that engages the mind and stimulates the senses.”

Russell is a graphic designer who first discovered his love of design while completing a Diploma of Graphic Design in Sydney. Upon completion he felt a desire to discover more so he took up an offer to complete a Bachelor of Communication Design at RMIT in Melbourne.

He spent 2 years south of the border sipping piccolo lattes, studying and immersing himself in the visual stimulation of Melbourne before returning to Sydney to take up his position with The Squad.

A keen and clever individual, Russell loves nothing more than a sexy piece of creative communication in action!
